What to do in Patong


Patong is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand. It has everything you could want out of a vacation: white sandy beaches, warm weather and crystal clear waters. If you're looking for an exciting new experience while visiting Phuket then this guide will help you plan your trip!


During high season it can swell up to over 100 thousand visitors each day! Patong Beach is located on Phuket Island's west coast and offers some great opportunities for swimming or snorkeling depending on how deep your pockets are willing to go.


Beaches

  • Patong Beach: This beach is located in the center of Patong and is lined with hotels and restaurants. It's a great place to enjoy the sun, sand and sea.

  • Karon Beach: This beach has many attractions including restaurants, shopping malls and nightlife entertainment venues. You can also enjoy some water sports here such as jet skiing or parasailing if you want something different from just relaxing on the sand!

  • Kata Beach: This is another popular destination for tourists because it's known for its beautiful white sand beaches that stretch far into the distance when viewed from above (if you're lucky enough). It's also home to several luxury hotels where you can stay while visiting Phuket Island

If you're looking for something more casual, check out the many restaurants along Bangla Road where there's often live music playing as well. If you're looking for something more low-key, stop by one of Patong's many bars or head over to one of its many night markets where locals gather at night after work to drink beer or cocktails while chatting with friends over snacks like fried chicken wings or grilled squid balls (which are actually made from octopus).


Shopping

  • Shopping Patong is the place to shop in Phuket. The Jungceylon Shopping Mall has everything you could want, from designer brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci to local markets selling fresh produce and souvenirs. If you're looking for something a little more exclusive, there are also luxury boutiques such as Tiffany & Co., Chanel and Prada lining the streets of Patong Beach Road.

Restaurants

There are a number of restaurants in Patong, Phuket that offer international cuisine and seafood. You can find street food in the markets and night bazaars, where you can try local dishes like Pad Thai or Tom Yum soup. If you're looking for something more upscale, there are many fine dining options as well. There are also some great places to eat right on the beach if you want something casual and relaxed!


Accommodation

There are many accommodation options to choose from in Patong. The hotels range from budget to luxury, and there are hostels that offer dormitory-style rooms as well as private rooms. Airbnbs are also a popular choice because they allow you to experience local life while saving money on accommodations.


Getting Around

Getting around Phuket is easy, with a variety of transportation options to suit your needs. You can take tuk tuks or taxis, hop on a bus or even rent a scooter and explore the island at your own pace!
